Consulate Paulette E. Adderley-Zonicle
Paulette Zonicle was appointed by the Bahamas Government as the first female Consul General to Washington, D.C., in April 2013. As consul general, she has the responsibility for the consular activities of the Government of the Bahamas which includes the issuance of visas for visitors to the Bahamas, passports for Bahamian citizens, document authentication and investment matters.
Paulette was educated at the College of The Bahamas and later at Lambuth Universit y in Jackson, Tenn., where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science. Upon her return to the U.S., she began a career in radio and television broadcasting, working her way up to television anchor and director of the news department.
In addition to her career and political achievements, Paulette is the founding member of the Prince Margaret Hospital Foundation (Bahamas) and was also an insurance executive for two of the major insurance companies in the Bahamas.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and creating recipes. Paulette has one daughter name Aaliah.
